The Byrne family – About Us
The Byrne family was one of the first families to settle in the Snowy Mountains area in the late 1800s.
Kieran Byrne mustered Stock in the high Country along with his brothers and sons until 1965. Kevin Byrne owner of Snowy Mountains Rural and Hardware is one of these sons. Kevin and wife Fay, daughters Becky, Jessica and sons Rod & Blake, are descendants of these hardworking Australian stockmen and show this trait in the business they own and run. They invite you to visit them in the small but beautiful town of Berridale, between Jindabyne & Cooma.
